Consumer Guide to Plastic Surgery Supports Iraq Star, Inc.

Ceatus Media Group’s Web portal, Consumer Guide to Plastic Surgery, is collaborating with Iraq Star, Inc. to raise awareness about veterans injured in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Improvements in immediate front-line treatment and rapid evacuation of injured U.S. servicemen and servicewomen have saved many lives that would have been lost in past wars, but more of these soldiers are living with severe deformities than seen in previous conflicts. As a result, a great deal more reconstructive surgery is required today.

Through Iraq Star, Inc., 245 board-certified reconstructive and aesthetic surgeons in 42 states donate their time and talent to perform shrapnel removal, scar revisions and ear, nose, hand and arm reconstruction for these soldiers. To date the organization has provided reconstructive and aesthetic surgeries to more than 60 wounded American soldiers, both active duty and retired.

Iraq Star is 100% funded by donations from the public. Consumer Guide to Plastic Surgery will be actively promoting donations by providing a direct link to the donation page on the organization’s website.

“We hope that this collaboration between Iraq Star and Ceatus Media Group will enable many more injured veterans to learn about the foundation,” says Iraq Star Medical Director and Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Norman Leaf, MD. “We are ready to help our brave wounded warriors with a network of board certified plastic surgeons around the country, and we encourage them to contact us.”

Wounded veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars can contact Iraq Star directly through the foundation’s website, by phone at (310) 245-6775 or by emailing iraqstarinfo@aol.com to apply for services.

“As a veteran, and with many of my own family members rotating through the war zones, I am proud that we can support this very important program to aid wounded veterans who are re-entering civilian life as well as those returning to active duty,” says Dr. David Evans, CEO of Ceatus Media Group.

Consumer Guide to Plastic Surgery is a one-stop, independent resource with more than 150 pages of information on cosmetic plastic surgery and skincare procedures.

Consumer Guide to Dentistry Launches IP-Based Dentist Display to Promote Local Dentistry

In response to rising consumer demand for geographically-relevant search results, Consumer Guide to Dentistry has launched an IP-based feature to more easily connect its growing readership with its network of top local dentists.

With recent changes in the Google search algorithm, consumers have come to expect an array of locally pertinent search results on the first page of Google relevant to their local area. The sophisticated IP feature provides visitors to Consumer Guide to Dentistry with the same functionality. The newly developed tool is able to pinpoint visitor location based on unique IP address, and access a database of dentists practicing in the area.

This feature allows consumers to review up-to-date articles about topics such as veneers, dental implants and in-office teeth whitening while simultaneously viewing local dentists offering these services. Since Consumer Guide to Dentistry has top-three rankings on Google for virtually every important cosmetic dentistry and dental health-related topic, the portal gives patients near-instant access to comprehensive educational information and local dentists.

“The IP-based dentist program is a game-changer for Consumer Guide to Dentistry,” says Ceatus CEO Dr. David Evans. “It will revolutionize the way consumers obtain dental health information by immediately connecting them to a network of local dentists.”

Consumer Guide to Dentistry experienced another record traffic year in 2010, reaching more than 1.8 million targeted visitors as compared to the 1.3 million reached in 2009; a year over year growth of 38 percent. Early projections for 2011 are equally promising.

Online since 2007, Consumer Guide to Dentistry provides more than 150 pages of easy-to-understand, dentist-reviewed education about all aspects of dentistry and oral health, including general dentistry topics like wisdom teeth and root canal therapy, cosmetic dentistry topics like veneers and Invisalign cost, and everything in between. The site is produced by Ceatus Media Group, an online publisher of consumer health information portals, and is accredited by the Health on the Net Foundation.
