Dr. David Evans, CEO of Ceatus Media Group, has published a new article in Plastic Surgery Practice (PSP), a magazine aimed at plastic surgeons seeking innovative practice management strategies. Published in the publication’s June edition, Dr. Evans’ latest article – titled Bringing up the Rear – focuses on the importance of back end web site management. (“Back end” being industry-speak for a site’s software and hardware infrastructure, including server software.)
The article poses plastic surgeons with three distinct questions about how their web site is managed:
- Is your web site crawlable?
- Does your back end strategy restrict the display of your before-and-after gallery?
- Can you take your web site with you?
Dr. Evans discusses the importance of these questions and the impact that their answers could have on your potential to market your practice and draw new clients. As he says, “a beautiful, eye-catching web site design can certainly generate a lot of “oohs” and “ahhs,” but if your web site’s back end isn’t strong, that is about all your gorgeous site will get you.”
Ceatus Media Group is a leader in the field of search engine marketing. With consumer sites catering to dental care, eye care, plastic surgery and bariatric surgery, Ceatus drives targeted traffic to an array of articles that include topics like cosmetic dentistry treatment options, dental insurance plans, breast lift cost, LASIK recovery, obesity and more.

A March traffic surge of more than 50 percent over the same period last year saw Consumer Guide to Dentistry hit another milestone by surpassing 10,000 visitors on March 7, 2011. Traffic growth is attributed to the quality of content featured throughout the site’s 150 plus articles, which the editorial team continues to add to and update on a regular basis. (The latest articles to go live cover topics that include saliva and dental implant types.) Traffic also has been fueled by Consumer Guide to Dentistry’s unrivaled search engine positioning for organic search terms related to dentistry and oral health; particularly within Google, the most dominant search platform. Some of the most popular search terms used to access the site include teeth whitening, veneers, TMJ symptoms, TMJ treatments and dental implant costs.
Consumer Guide to Dentistry’s sister sites – Consumer Guide to Plastic Surgery and Consumer Guide to Bariatric Surgery – also continue to show excellent traffic gains with rankings for search terms related to elective procedures that include liposuction and tummy tuck cost.

Dr. David Evans – CEO of Ceatus Media Group – spoke as part of a panel of three experts at the recent Rhinoplasty Symposium hosted by UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. The special event was a first-of-its-kind symposium for a plastic surgery conference focused solely on Internet Marketing and Social Media.
Dr. Evans spoke at length about the nature of consumer search, and how it is used to research elective procedures such as rhinoplasty surgery and breast augmentation. He also discussed the benefits of a properly implemented Internet marketing campaign and how it can enhance surgical practices, fielded questions from the audience, and provided real-time evaluations of several websites from leading plastic surgeons in attendance. The evaluations involved a review of overall design, construction and SEO.
The event was extremely well attended, with more than 250 surgeons joining Dr. Evans for the special two hour session.
