Is Back-End Site Design Limiting Your Marketing Potential?

Dr. David Evans, CEO of Ceatus Media Group, has published a new article in Plastic Surgery Practice (PSP), a magazine aimed at plastic surgeons seeking innovative practice management strategies. Published in the publication’s June edition, Dr. Evans’ latest article – titled Bringing up the Rear – focuses on the importance of back end web site management. (“Back end” being industry-speak for a site’s software and hardware infrastructure, including server software.)

The article poses plastic surgeons with three distinct questions about how their web site is managed:

  1. Is your web site crawlable?
  2. Does your back end strategy restrict the display of your before-and-after gallery?
  3. Can you take your web site with you?

Dr. Evans discusses the importance of these questions and the impact that their answers could have on your potential to market your practice and draw new clients. As he says, “a beautiful, eye-catching web site design can certainly generate a lot of “oohs” and “ahhs,” but if your web site’s back end isn’t strong, that is about all your gorgeous site will get you.”

Ceatus Media Group is a leader in the field of search engine marketing. With consumer sites catering to dental care, eye care, plastic surgery and bariatric surgery, Ceatus drives targeted traffic to an array of articles that include topics like cosmetic dentistry treatment options, dental insurance plans, breast lift cost, LASIK recovery, obesity and more.

Ceatus Media Group Continues IP Serving Rollout

Following the successful implementation of IP-based directory serving on Consumer Guide to Dentistry, Ceatus Media Group has taken another step to boost the visibility of its clients listed in its other directories. March 7 and 8 saw the launch of IP directory serving on Refractive Surgery News and Breast Implants 4 You respectively. Whereas consumers previously were required to click into the directory and select their location to find local LASIK or breast augmentation surgeons, the IP serving now automatically detects user location and presents them with the three closest surgeons. Not only does this serve as an added convenience for consumers; it also increases surgeon visibility and helps to generate more leads from prospective patients.

Consumers searching online for information about procedures such as presbyopia treatment, breast lift cost or breast augmentation before and after pictures, they can now click into Refractive Surgery News and Breast Implants 4 You, get comprehensive information about the subject and access their nearest surgical options.

Refractive Surgery News Enters December on High Note

Refractive Surgery News, the sister site to Consumer Guide to Dentistry and the only video directory for the premium LASIK and cataract surgery practices, is ending the year on a high note. In January 2010, the site received on average 2,500 visitors a week. During the year the traffic has grown and in early December the number doubled to 5,000 per week. Consumers come to the site to learn about laser eye surgery, such as LASIK and PRK, and to get answers to questions such as “how much does LASIK cost?” Also, with a wide array of premium IOLs available for the treatment of presbyopia, many consumers visit the site to learn about advanced cataract surgery. The goal for 2011 is to continue the traffic growth and provide consumers a wider range of information and news updates about refractive surgery.
